8. Frequently Asked Questions
1. How do I install the EA?
Refer to the Installation section. Make sure to copy the EA and all dependencies into the correct folders (usually under MQL5/Experts and MQL5/Include).
2. What pairs and timeframes does Zyra support?
Zyra Guardian Pro is multi-symbol and multi-timeframe. It works best on low-spread pairs like AUDCAD, AUDNZD, NZDCAD on M5 or M15, but you can test any symbol that fits your strategy.
3. Can I run multiple Zyra instances on the same account?
Yes. Use different Magic Numbers and, if desired, adjust the Capital Allocation % and Split to avoid overlap.
4. What does "Profit Lock" do?
It creates a hidden reserve from your gains that Zyra will no longer touch. For example, with 50% Profit Lock, each TP will send half the profit into an internal "safe vault". This helps preserve earnings even if future trades perform poorly.
5. How do I avoid overfitting?
Use a limited number of signals. Stick with 1–3 main indicators (e.g., Ichimoku + RSI + ADX), and avoid enabling every signal at once unless you're intentionally building a composite strategy.
6. The EA doesn't open trades. Why?
- Check if the spread is too high (> MaxSpread).
- Make sure your equity isn't below
StopTradingEquity. - Ensure the indicator signals are producing enough score.
- Confirm that the panel is not showing a Weekly flat state (triggered by Close all positions after the last session on Friday) or a Post-close cooldown countdown tied to Number of bars to wait after a full grid close before opening new positions.
- Check the journal/logs for any execution errors.
7. Can I use Zyra on funded accounts or prop firms?
Yes. Zyra includes capital allocation, stop equity, and global SL options that are ideal for challenge conditions. Adjust your risk settings accordingly.
8. What if I change settings during live trading?
Any changes will take effect on the next tick. However, it's best practice to pause trading (disable AutoTrading), adjust settings, then resume to avoid inconsistencies mid-cycle.
9. Does Zyra use martingale?
No. Zyra uses progressive lot scaling, but you can set LotMultiplier = 1 for non-scaling grids. It's not blind martingale — entries follow scoring logic and safety checks.
10. What is the recommended starting capital?
Minimum recommended capital is $500–$1000 per instance. You can reduce it on cent accounts or with low-lot scaling. Always test on demo first.
